Skyline PRO 10" (250/1270) Dobsonian Telescope
Features:
The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 10" Dobsonian telescope is a modern astronomical instrument that is distinguished by its high optical performance. It is perfectly suited for the detailed study of Solar System objects and deep-sky phenomena. Its optical elements are made of BK-7 glass and coated with aluminum, achieving a reflectivity of 92–95%. This level allows for the effective observation of very distant or faint celestial objects. It also enhances image clarity, as light reflects from the smooth mirror surface with minimal distortion. The telescope’s primary mirror has a parabolic shape that ensures proper light gathering and eliminates spherical aberration.
With a powerful 254mm aperture and 1270mm focal length, this telescope provides access to exceptional detail across the cosmos. It resolves lunar features down to 1.5km, atmospheric phenomena on Mars and Jupiter, fine planetary structures like the Encke Gap, and countless deep-sky objects from the NGC catalog, including nebulae and galaxies. Under favorable atmospheric and viewing conditions, you can even glimpse the dwarf planet Pluto as a tiny starlike point! With these capabilities, the Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 10" serves as a powerful instrument for the experienced astronomer and an inspiring, future-proof foundation for a beginner’s journey into astronomy.
The telescope’s optical tube is mounted on a manually operated Dobsonian mount. The mount is noted for its high stability, ease of operation, convenient pointing without the need for specialized drives, and simple assembly/disassembly. The telescope is designed to operate within a temperature range of −5°C to +35°C. The optical tube assembly (OTA) is made of metal, while the Dobsonian mount is crafted from wood. The package includes the following accessories: 10mm and 25mm Plössl eyepieces (1.25") and an 8x40 optical finderscope.
