The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 12" is a powerful yet convenient system on a manual Dobsonian mount. It is your gateway to the secrets of our Solar System and the distant universe. Its large 304mm aperture and 1525mm focal length are highly beneficial for viewing the impressive details of celestial objects. The optical elements, made of BK-7 glass, ensure high image quality, sharpness, and natural color rendition.
The telescope features a parabolic primary mirror, an optical design that eliminates spherical aberration by concentrating all the incoming light onto a single point, resulting in sharp, high-fidelity images. This design allows the system to perform effectively even at very high magnifications. This is particularly important if you plan to use the telescope primarily for observing very distant objects. Both the primary and secondary mirrors are coated with aluminum that increases their reflectivity to 92–95%. This treatment helps the observer better discern faint objects and see more interesting details on the surfaces or in the atmospheres of celestial bodies relatively close to Earth.
The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 12" has a maximum useful magnification of 600x. The package includes 10mm and 25mm Plössl eyepieces (1.25"), providing 153x and 61x magnification, respectively. The telescope features a 2" dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser with a 1.25" adapter. This gives you the freedom to upgrade and swap accessories, enabling you to choose the perfect gear for each observation session.
The package also includes an 8x40 optical finderscope and a primary mirror cooling fan. The cooling fan is powered by 8 AA batteries (sold separately).
