The Pegasus Astro FlatMaster Neo 160 is a retractable LED flat field panel that delivers uniform illumination for telescopes up to 160 mm, ensuring high quality flat frames for astrophotography and photometry. Its motorized lid opens from 0° to 270° and doubles as a protective cover against dust and moisture.

Dimmable LED Panel

The FlatMaster Neo adjusts its brightness from 0 to 100%, so there is no need for sheets of paper between the telescope and the panel. Control the brightness remotely, store a value for each filter and recall it instantly. It reaches very high brightness levels and easily supports short flat exposures of 2-3 seconds at f/7, even with 3 nm narrowband filters.

Retractable Panel

The panel opens and closes remotely and can be positioned anywhere between 0° and 270°. To avoid collisions with obstacles, you can set a custom maximum opening angle. A special silicone flange creates a light and dust proof seal around your optics, and also keeps the light of the panel from disturbing nearby setups in shared hosting observatories.

Dew Heater and Sensors

An integrated dew heater on the panel removes moisture and keeps the surface dry, so no water droplets are trapped between the lid and the telescope lens after closing. The built-in temperature and humidity sensor can adjust the heater automatically based on the dew point, or you can set and store the heater power manually. A light sensor can close the lid automatically at sunrise.

One Cable Operation

A single USB-C cable provides power and control of both the panel and the lid, while a manual button lets you open and close the lid by hand.

Wi-Fi and Web Dashboard

Built-in Wi-Fi lets you connect through the device hotspot or as a client on your existing network, and the integrated web dashboard gives you full control from any phone, tablet or computer.

ASCOM and ASCOM Alpaca

The FlatMaster Neo is fully supported out of the box by ASCOM 7 and ASCOM Alpaca, for seamless integration with your imaging and automation software.
