MAGUS 40HP 40х/0.60 Plan L phase PHP2  ∞/1.2 WD 3.5mm Objective

Phase objective for a biological inverted microscope. Phase contrast is used to study transparent, low-contrast samples invisible while using the brightfield microscopy technique. The method eliminates staining, which kills living cells. Unstained organisms are visible in their natural state.

The resolution limit of the 40х/0.60 objective is 0.46µm.
Chromatic aberrations are corrected for blue and red light, spherical aberration for green light, and field curvature corrected to 90% of the field of view diameter.

The objective is infinity-corrected. The parfocal distance is 45mm. When working with a 10x/22mm eyepiece, the field of view diameter will be 0.55mm. Designed to work with bottom thickness of 1.2mm. When working on the MAGUS Bio V300 inverted biological microscope, you must purchase an additional MAGUS SPH1 phase contrast slider.

To implement the phase contrast method on a microscope with a 40x/0.60 objective, select a phase plate marked 40x on the phase condenser or install a phase insert with a ring for a 40x objective in the condenser slot.

The lower limit of useful microscope magnification when working with a 40х objective is 300x. A lower magnification will not allow you to distinguish the details of the object in the image produced by the objective.
The upper limit of useful magnification when working with the 40х objective is 600x. Higher magnification is considered "useless" because it does not provide new detail in the image of the object.
With a 40x/0.60 objective, use eyepieces with magnifications from 7.5x to 15x.

Plan achromatic objectives produce an image equally focused in both the center and at the edges with minimal distortion. This feature is used for taking digital images and for working in conjunction with wide-field eyepieces with a 22mm field of view.
