Biology class is one of the most interesting and informative in the school curriculum; but a biology textbook is not enough to unravel all mysteries of the microworld. Levenhuk Rainbow 50L Lime Microscope can be a great assistant in learning biology. It can not only prove and add more information to the facts learned at school, but it also allows you to make your own discoveries and explore the microworld beyond biology classes. The kit includes a set for conducting various experiments with the microscope. To top it off, the microscope is really stylish – it boasts a juicy lime-colored ergonomic body. Such a gift will please both school and college students.

Wide range of magnifications

The microscope comes with three objective lenses: 4x, 10x, 40xs. You can double the magnification provided with each objective by using Barlow lens also included in the kit. Thus the microscope allows you to observe samples under 40x, 80x, 100x, 200x, 400x and 800x!

The lenses are made of high-quality optical glass which features high level of transparency and doesn’t distort the views. To further increase image quality, multilayer coating is applied to optical surfaces, so the resulting images are clear and sharp, allowing you to see a lot of interesting details.

Multipurpose illumination

Two bright LED illumination sources are used in the microscope’s construction to illuminate observed samples. Lower illumination allows observing transparent samples in transmitted light; for example, paramecium in a water drop or a mosquito wing. In case you need to examine an opaque sample, use upper illumination – that allows you to see the tiniest scratches on a coin or compare structures of different kinds of paper. Two illuminations turned on simultaneously allow you to study semi-transparent samples. Using the convenient brightness adjustment mechanism, you can set the optimal level of illumination for every sample.

Ergonomic design

The quality plastic of the body makes the microscope both lightweight and reliable. The head is inclined at 45°, which is especially important for beginners who tend to get tired quickly when working in a less comfortable position. The head is 360° rotatable, which makes it possible for several people to work with the microscope at the same time. The illumination can be powered by an outlet, but if no outlet is available, the device can also run on batteries.

Caution:
Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V and 220-240V in most European countries.

Fascinating experiments with microscope

To make exploring the microworld interesting and frustration-free from the very beginning, the microscope is supplied with the Levenhuk K50 Experiment Kit. The kit includes everything needed for conducting interesting experiments – from prepared ready-to-use slides to special instruments for creating new samples. The user guide included in the kit will help you with ideas of interesting experiments that can be carried out using kit contents and surrounding objects.

Sturdy case in the kit

The microscope comes with a durable plastic case, which has compartments for all microscope parts and accessories and ensures that neither the microscope nor accessories can be damaged or lost during transportation. The case also protects the microscope from dust.
