This clamp is suitable for all dovetail bars and dual mounts with Vixen/EQ5 style connection. The bottom side of the clamp is flat. By using the countersunk holes, you can attach the clamp to flat surfaces with, for example, M6 or 1/4" countersunk head screws.
Base for a sliding weight
In the centre, the clamp also has a 1/4" photo thread with which you can attach a sliding weight with 1/4", resulting in a sliding weight system for perfect weight balance when changing accessories at the eyepiece side. The matching sliding weight can be found in the "recommended accessories" section.
Attaching telescopes or spotting scopes to your photo tripod
You can also thread the clamp onto a ball head or pan head. Now you supply a quick coupling to your photo tripod for attaching spotting scopes and telescopes and, above all, also for shifting for optimal balance.
