Accurate Filter Selection
The carousel has seven slots and accepts 2" mounted or 50 mm unmounted filters (maximum filter diameter 50.8 mm). A direct drive stepper motor combined with optical encoders places every filter precisely in the optical path, and the wheel rotates in either direction using a shortest-path algorithm for the quickest possible filter change.
Thin Design
The precision CNC-machined aluminium body is only 19.0 mm thick (19.6 mm with adapters on both sides), leaving plenty of backfocus for the rest of your imaging train without compromising strength or rigidity.
Orientation on Both Sides
Both sides of the filter wheel have M54 openings. The sliding screw adapters let you align the orientation of your camera or telescope side: just loosen the screws, rotate the adapter to the desired position and tighten again.
Camera Connection
The camera side connects directly to astronomy cameras with a 6-hole pattern (62 mm diameter, M3 or M2.5 screws), a 4-hole pattern for Player One cameras, or an M42 male thread (0.75 mm pitch). The Indigo OAG can also be mounted directly onto the wheel.
Optolong LRGB Filter Set
The included 2" Optolong LRGB set (Luminance, Red, Green and Blue) lets you capture natural colour images of galaxies, nebulae and star clusters with your monochrome camera, filling four of the seven positions and leaving room for narrowband filters.
Software Support
The Indigo Filter Wheel is designed to work seamlessly with the popular astrophotography applications for fully remote operation.
