The Ermenrich Ping SM150 Underground Wire Locator includes a transmitter, receiver, and additional accessories. It is used for the inspection and maintenance of cable and electrical networks, water and gas pipelines buried in the ground or located in the walls or footings of buildings. The device can find fuses, hidden wires, and outlets as well as switchboards that have been accidentally covered by plaster during renovations.
The detector can locate not only de-energized cables, but also live cables (maximum voltage is 400V). The inspection of cable lines allows you not only to identify cable wiring patterns, but also to test cables for faults: short circuits and open circuits. The device also has a voltmeter function and can detect DC and AC voltages.
Both the transmitter and receiver have built-in backlit displays and easy push-button operation. Both gadgets are powered by rechargeable batteries. The auto-off function saves battery power and extends the operation time of the devices.
