The stable dovetail PSFOTO18 allows attaching heavy instruments like spotting scopes, cameras with telephoto lenses or telescopes to mounts with GP style saddle plates or to photo tripods and tilting heads.

Through the two slotted holes, the dovetail bar is especially versatile:
For example, you can attach two tube rings closely together. The distance may vary between 28 mm and 160 mm.

You can also connect compact telescopes or spotting scopes via a universal mounting plate with more than only one screw. This increases stability significantly.

The slotted holes are dimensioned for 1/4" and M6 socket screws. At the countersink, the bar is 5 mm thick, thus we recommend screws with a thread of 10-15 mm length.

The dovetail bar also fits to photo tripods and tilting heads:
Exactly in its middle, the bar has a female 1/4" photo thread, so the bar fits to photo tripods and tilting heads. You can attach your telescope or spotting scope to a photo tripod, too. The dovetail bar allows effective balancing, for example if the spotting scope is top-heavy.
