RAINBOW 50L PLUS AZURE MICROSCOPE
Features:
Stylish, colorful, modern Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS Azure Microscope is a perfect choice for any person interested in the microcosm–from a school kid to a laboratory technician. This microscope allows you to observe plants and live microorganisms; compare different types of paper; and observe many other interesting things! The microscope’s wide magnification range and combined illumination system make it suitable for viewing a huge variety of microscope samples. And one more advantage of the model is its stylish, colorful design – it will look very nice on your desktop.
Improved optics
The revolving nosepiece has three objective lenses producing 64x-640x magnification. The most powerful objective (40xs) is equipped with a special spring mechanism. If you accidentally touch the microscope sample with the objective, the spring-loaded lens will retract a little, preventing any damage to the optics. The microscope also comes with 2x Barlow lens which doubles the magnification of any given objective lens. Thus, you can observe samples at 64x, 128x, 160x, 320x, 640x and 1280x magnification!
All optical elements are made of a special glass of high transparency. The lenses are multi-coated and, therefore, the microscope creates only contrast and sharp images of observed objects.
Illumination for opaque, transparent and semi-transparent samples
The microscope has two bright LED illumination sources. The lower lighting is used when you need to observe transparent samples in transmitted light – for example, observe the structure of an insect or microorganisms in a drop of aquarium water. Upper lighting is used when you need to work with opaque samples such as paper, cloth, coins, etc. To observe semi-transparent objects, use both lights at the same time. The level of brightness can be regulated to achieve better results with each specimen.
Ergonomic metal body
The reliable metal body of the instrument ensures its long service life even if it is used intensively in colleges or laboratories. For the most convenient use, the monocular head is 45-degrees inclined. Moreover, it can be rotated 360-degrees around its axis – that means you don’t need to move the instrument itself; it's enough to just turn the head in the needed direction.
Illumination operates on AC power. If there is no power outlet nearby, the microscope can operate on standard AA-type batteries.
Caution: Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V and 220-240V in most European countries.
Conducting experiments
Levenhuk K50 Experiment Kit includes everything needed for your first experiments with this microscope. A beginning researcher can observe our ready-to-use slides, prepare microscope samples independently, and explore and learn many new things about objects that surround us in our everyday lives.
Quality plastic case
The convenient plastic case protects the instrument from mechanical shock and dust during its storage and transportation.
