Ermenrich Ping MK70 is a clamp meter with DC current measurement function. They also measure alternating current and combine the functions of 6 more measuring instruments: ohmmeter, voltmeter, frequency meter, capacitance meter, duty cycle meter, and thermocouple-based temperature sensor. The high reliability of measurements is guaranteed by a calculation based on the true root mean square value (True RMS). The wide functionality covers the needs of not only the hobby handyman but also the professional electrician.
The digital clamp meter is also used for diagnosing electrical networks for open and short circuits, to test diodes for faults, and detect hidden wiring (NCV function). This model also has advanced functions: inrush current measurement, frequency converter, low impedance mode (low resistance voltage measurement), DC zero setting (DCA Zero).
The device has auxiliary functions that increase comfort and simplify routine operations: holding readings on the screen (Hold), storing limit values (Min/Max), relative measurements through reference values (REL). In addition, the digital clamp meter is equipped with a built-in flashlight and has a convenient display with an easy-to-read indicator and a graphic scale.
The device runs on standard batteries; when the battery is low, a notification appears on the screen. The auto-off function helps the batteries last longer without needing to be replaced.
