MAGUS Stereo A18T Stereomicroscope
Features:
Research grade stereomicroscope with apochromatic optics.
It is designed for observing three-dimensional objects and the details of their structure while maintaining the virtual volume and clarity of the surface relief. It is also equipped with a built-in transmitted light illuminator for examining transparent objects in brightfield. The installation of additional accessories will enable darkfield, fluorescence, and polarization methods.
The CMO (Common Main Objective) system provides a large field of view, high resolution, accurate color reproduction, and no field distortion. It produces an equally detailed and clear image in the eyepieces as well as on a digital camera. The CMO design involves installing additional components in the optical system.
The microscope is used for forensic examination, industrial inspection, biology, medicine (including IVF), microelectronics, materials science, and archaeology.
Microscope head
Trinocular head with an inclination angle of 20° that is comfortable for long periods of work. Eyepiece tubes rotate 180°. The user can adjust eye relief on the eyepiece to fit their height. The digital camera is mounted in the trinocular tube. The light flow is switched from the right tube of the microscope head to the trinocular tube. Two switch positions: 100/0 and 0/100. Switching does not affect the left eyepiece tube. Diopter adjustment is done on the eyepieces.
Main objective
To form a three-dimensional image, the CMO stereo microscope uses a main objective, positioned strictly perpendicular to the sample plane. Light that passes through or that is reflected from the sample enters the objective and is distributed into two parallel optical channels. The stereoscopic angle is 11°.
The microscope is equipped with a 1x plan apochromatic objective with a numerical aperture of 0.15. It provides high image clarity and brightness for any research method over the entire magnification range. Working distance: 60mm.
Zoom
Zoom objective lens – a lens system of parallel optical channels – smoothly changes magnification by 18x without losing focus. The microscope delivers an upright (not inverted) three-dimensional image.
Focusing mechanism
The coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs are on both sides. The focus adjustment is smooth and effortless.
Light source
The microscope is equipped with a transmitted light LED illuminator (10W). It is bright enough to work not only in brightfield, but also in polarized light and darkfield. The LED has a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
Base
The base of the microscope has a built-in black plate that implements the method of oblique illumination in transmitted light. The plate is moved using the adjustment slider on the right side of the base. The sample is illuminated at an angle, casting a shadow on the fine structures of the preparation. This allows the observation of colorless, transparent samples of structures with relief and high contrast.
The transparent plate ensures even illumination of the specimen and optimal light diffusion for observing transparent and translucent samples.
The lever on the right side of the base serves to insert and remove the prism, which is used to work with different magnifications.
