For an effective polar alignment it will be sufficient, through the bubble function of your smartphone, to set the height of the mount with the knob dedicated to a value equal to your observation latitude in degrees and to orient the mount itself in azimuth towards the celestial North Pole. By acting only on the axis of Right Ascension through micrometric motions, you can keep the object you are observing in the field.
