The Ermenrich Report WR40 weather station was specifically designed for home use and prompt collection of the most important atmospheric parameters. It has a color screen on a VA matrix on a neat vertical stand that can be installed on any convenient surface at home. To take outdoor readings, the device uses a remote wireless sensor powered by two AAA batteries. The maximum signal radius is 80m; the radio signal frequency is 433.92MHz.

The device also displays the current moon phase and a short-term weather forecast. Some data is accompanied by intuitive pictograms that are clear to all family members, while other data is displayed in a large, easy-to-read font. Indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity are measured and displayed separately on the screen.
The time format is selectable between 12-hour and 24-hour. Temperature units can also be switched between Celsius and Fahrenheit. The built-in hygrometer and thermometer can record and store the minimum and maximum values. The weather station also features a low-battery indicator, allowing for timely battery replacement.
The base station of the Ermenrich Report WR40 can be powered either by two AAA batteries or by a DC power supply. A 1.5-meter USB-to-DC cable is included in the package for this purpose; however, the power adapter is not included and must be purchased separately. The body of the device is made of durable plastic that is resistant to chips, scratches, and abrasion.
