Levenhuk 1 Calibration Slide for Stereo Microscopes
This is the Levenhuk 1 Calibration Slide. It is designed for use on stereo microscopes. It is made of optical glass and has a diameter of 24mm. The division value of the scale on it is 0.1mm. In total, the scale contains 200 divisions.
A calibration slide, or, as it is also called, a micrometer slide, is necessary to calculate a correction factor for the image analysis program and, as a result, increase the accuracy of all the measurements taken.
How to use the calibration slide:
Fix the slide on the microscope stage.
Rotate the revolver to select the working objective.
Set the camera to shooting mode at maximum resolution, and then take a photo of the scale.
In the image analysis program, select the calibration mode, use the mouse to indicate the maximum visible distance, and then enter the resulting value in real units.
Enter the name of the calibration and double-check the values.
If everything is done correctly, the program will remember the correction factor, and in the future, it will independently convert the values into the required units of measurement.
