The Levenhuk LX700 laser rangefinder is a compact and lightweight device that measures distance and angles as well as calculates the speed of moving targets. It is characterized by fast performance, low power consumption, and high accuracy of measurements. It can target both large (e.g., buildings or trees) and relatively small (e.g., flagpoles or small wild game) targets of different sizes. The device can measure distances of up to 700 meters (2300ft).

The optics provide 6x magnification and, therefore, the device can also be used as a classic monocular for observation. The rangefinder has two operation modes: a single distance measurement mode and a scan mode. In the scan mode, measurements can be taken continuously, which is useful if you want to measure the distance to a moving object, for example. There is also a flagpole lock mode, which is used to measure the distance to a small single object in the field. The device quickly finds a target and vibrates when it is locked in place. There is also a slope mode. In the slope mode, all of the measurements appear in real time.

The device is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery that can be recharged via the included USB cable (the AC adapter is not included). There is an auto-off function that saves battery power. Although it is designed for handheld use, there is a 1/4" mount thread that can be used to mount the rangefinder on a standard tripod to stabilize the device.
