Who doesn´t know the problem: The night is cool and clear, but unfortunately a bit humid. The humidity condenses on the optics and ends the observation or astrophotography prematurely. Heating bands are the right remedy against this.
Heating straps or heating bands are simply placed around the dew shield at the height of the optics and fixed with the flexible Velcro tape. Since the straps are insulated to the outside, the heating power is directed inward, toward the optics. The minimal heating prevents the precipitation of humidity.
The power supply of the TS USB dew heaters
The heaters have a USB plug and can be supplied with energy via a power tank or a power bank. The heaters require an operating voltage of 5 volts. Please do not connect the heater to the USB port of your computer. The USB port is not designed for this and it can be destroyed.
