Sky-Watcher EVOSTAR telescopes are classic two-element, air-spaced, achromatic refractors. They are outstanding, high-performance, high-resolution instruments manufactured to high standards of optical and mechanical precision. With their long focal lengths and breathtaking, diffraction limited optical performance, they are ideal for the detailed high-power study of the Moon, Planetary Surfaces and other objects in our solar system, giving crisp contrasty images. Supplied with the EQ3-2 equatorial mount, which when polar aligned, will allow you to easily track objects as they move across the night sky via its slow motion control cables.

AIR-SPACED TWO-ELEMENT ACHROMATIC REFRACTORS

An ordinary single lens brings different wavelengths of light to different focal points.

All Sky-Watcher Refractors are built with air-spaced two-element lenses, which reduce chromatic aberration more than standard doublet lenses. 

EQ3-2 equatorial mount with aluminium tripod

The Skywatcher EQ3-2 is a solid base for medium sized telescopes both for visual observing and for astro imaging. With the appropriate upgrades and accessories the mount is fully suitable for astro imaging, including long exposures.

The superb EQ3-2 Deluxe mount receives high marks from experienced observers. This sturdy mount offers precision and stability along with a host of other features for the serious astronomer. The mount rests firmly on a large, adjustable aluminium tripod with accessory tray. A bubble level allows for quick and accurate levelling. Slow-motion control knobs allow for continuous manual tracking of celestial objects. The precision mount features full 360º worm-gear tracking controls on both R.A. and DEC. axes. Dual metal setting circle dials allow quick location of target using celestial coordinates. An optional polarscope is available for aiding in polar alignment.
