This instrument shows you COLOR in deep sky. Nebulars and Galaxies looks like on an astrophoto.
Nebula, Star Clusters and distant Galaxies will be shown extremely bright. M-13, the famous Globular Cluster im Hercules, will be dispersed in hundreds of single stars. You also will see structures in galaxies and nebulars.
Skywatcher has developed with the new skyliner series an advancement of Dobson engineering. It is possible to push the whole tube together. Therefore the dobson becomes ultracompact for transport and also for storage. When you receive your observation point you only have to extend the tube and in in a very short time you have a complete telescope ready to use.
Skyliner 16" Flex Tube Dobson:
This is the biggest dobsonian of Skywatcher and of course the biggest transportable dobsonian in our opinion. This instrument shows you COLOR in deep sky. Nebulars and Galaxies looks like on an astrophoto. The 2" focuser:
The Dobsonian owns a smooth running and accurate 2" focuser with a reduction for 1.25" equipment. The focuser is ball beared (Crayford) and offers an accurate focusing, even if you are using heavy eyepieces. So you can use powerful 2" eyepieces, which offers you a bright picture and a gigantic field of view. As a matter of course you can also use 1.25" eyepieces!
Adjustment of the 16" Skyliner Dobsonian:
The adjustment of the SKEXD16 is very easy. The horizontal and vertical adjustment happens through bush bearings. At every position the optics stay at their place. You only have to move the telescope, leave it and you are able to observe. The adjustment of the altitude decrees through a so called "Tension Control". So you are able to adjust the clearance of the adjustment of altitude and also to lock the telescope.
